How to Get Rid of FPS Counter Top Right?

Depending on which program is generating the counter, follow the corresponding steps below to turn it off:

1. NVIDIA GeForce Experience / NVIDIA App

  1. Press Alt + Z (or Alt + N for the new NVIDIA App) to bring up the overlay menu.

  2. Click the Settings (gear icon), then select HUD Layout.

  3. Choose Performance (or FPS Counter).

  4. Select Off (or choose a different quadrant if you want to reposition it).

2. Steam Overlay

  1. Open Steam on your desktop.

  2. In the top-left menu bar, click Steam > Settings.

  3. Select the In-Game tab from the left sidebar.

  4. Locate In-game FPS counter and set the dropdown menu to Off.

3. AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition

  1. Press Alt + R to open the AMD Software interface.

  2. Navigate to the Performance tab.

  3. Click on the Tracking sub-tab on the right.

  4. Toggle FPS to Off, or hide the entire overlay by turning off Show Metrics Overlay (Ctrl + Shift + O).

4. MSI Afterburner / RivaTuner (RTSS)

  1. Open MSI Afterburner and click the Settings (gear icon).

  2. Select the Monitoring tab.

  3. Under Active hardware monitoring graphs, select Framerate.

  4. Uncheck Show in On-Screen Display (or close RivaTuner Statistics Server in your system tray).

5. Windows Xbox Game Bar

  1. Press Win + G to bring up the Game Bar overlay.

  2. Click the Performance widget icon in the top toolbar to reveal the overlay box.

  3. Click the Pin icon on the top right of the Performance window to unpin it from remaining on-screen during gameplay.

  4. (Optional) Press Win + I to open Windows Settings > Gaming > Xbox Game Bar, and toggle it off completely.
